I'm addicted to Madden Football July 5, 2008 Tom in Ohio (Loveland, OH USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I buy the new version of Madden for PC just about every year. I wish they would expand/ enhance the scouting drills for the draft, but I have greatly enjoyed this game, as always. It's th only way I can get my favorite team to win the Super Bowl.
Madden 08 January 13, 2009 James G. Nespor Son received this for Christmas. He loves it, wants to play it all of the time. Good value. We wished they would make Madden 09, but they are not (for PC).
More Bang for the Buck February 17, 2009 Troy L. Blackwell (TN) Being involved in a football game from the quarterback's position is an eye-opening experience. This game gives the player a sense of the different pressures a quarterback must deal with, from the ticking play clock to the bull-rush of opposing linemen. Quick reflexes and elusive moves are necessary to avoid being sacked while trying to find an open receiver and completing a pass. To be successful at this game, the player must get intensively involved-and hit the showers when the time clock expires.
Entertaining Game for Football Fans April 8, 2009 Xiaoting Fang I have never played Madden on PC before Madden 08. I've had Madden 08 for PS2 and I absolutely loved it. I spent hours and hours building up a superstar. And when I found out that Madden 08 was also on PC, and at a price of only $10, I decided, hey, why not also buy it for PC.
First off, unlike many other console games available on PC, you do not need a great graphics card. I do just fine with an ATI Radeon 3450. I never played Madden 07 for PC, and I am confused about why some of the reviewers were whining about Madden 08 not being much better than 07 version. Seriously, I don't understand. Why would you buy an older version when the newer version is only $10, and in my opinion, Madden 08's gameplay was great. Except for the flashing screen when the game loads up (and it only flashed once), I have not experienced any glitches at all, the gameplay was otherwise very smooth. Although I did need to adapt from using the PS2 controls to PC controls, there wasn't any other main differences in gameplay at all with the console versions and the PC versions.
I was very upset that EA decided to not release Madden 09 for PC, but the good news it that they will for 2010 season. I'll be looking forward to another season of Madden on my PC. I would recommend this game to all those football fans out there because it is a great football game. Thank you for taking your time and reading this.
Greatest sports game i have ever played on the PC! July 29, 2009 Jinny This game has great graphics and features. You can do so many different things. NFL Superstar mode is a lot of fun, especially the draft and working up to the draft! Then you can own your team with Franchise Mode. Then you get of those and you can get a roster update for College Football teams!
